College Description


The COLLEGE OF TRADES AND TECHNOLOGY (CTT) provides a wide range of programs geared towards preparing students for dynamic careers in various engineering and industrial fields. The Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET) program offers specialized majors in Construction Engineering Technology (BET-CET), Electrical Engineering Technology (BET-EET), Electronics Engineering Technology (BET-ECET), Mechanical Engineering Technology (BET-MET), and Mechanical Engineering Technology with a specialization in Automotive Engineering Technology (BET-MET-AET). These programs emphasize the practical skills and technical knowledge required for success in their respective industries. The Bachelor of Drafting Technology (BDT) program provides students with technical drawing and computer-aided design skills, preparing them for careers in design and drafting. In addition, the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT) program provides majors in Food Trades (BSIT-FT) and Garments Technology (BSIT-GT), which focus on industry-specific skills in food processing, safety, quality control, garment design, production, and technology. CTT is dedicated to providing hands-on training alongside theoretical education, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet the changing demands of the industry and achieve in their chosen careers.

The construction engineering technology (CET) program is a four-year program that blends civil engineering technology and construction business management. The program combines construction, engineering, and management in a practice-oriented education that leads to a rewarding career in which graduates exercise their skills, experience, and knowledge to construct buildings and infrastructure nationwide.

The Electrical Engineering Technology program is a four-year program that deals with the study of electrical wiring systems, machines, and systems that conduct electrical charges and produce electricity. Professionals in the electrical technology field maintain electric voltage systems and their individual parts, such as heaters, motors, circuits, and generators. It also includes the maintenance and repair of instrumentation and controls of electric machinery.

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology Major in Food Trades (BSIT - FT) is a four-year program that meets the demand for trained workers in the food service industry.

As an innovative program that integrates a scientific approach with practical skills, Food Trades provides a solid foundation in the methods and science of cooking through exposure to the preparation, cooking, plating, presentation, and service of food. Special emphasis is placed on culinary tools, equipment, techniques, and specialty ingredients.

Further, students are expected to possess competencies (skills and knowledge), values, and other attributes of the graduates, which include the development of Technical Skills and Industrial Technology.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY major in Garment Technology is concerned with preparing industrial technicians or technologists with a robust theoretical understanding of technology and practical exposure to the garment industry.

The Garments Technology program is designed to develop skilled industrial technicians and technologists for the garments industry. The curriculum includes courses such as Basic Dressmaking, Lingerie, Basic and Advanced Dress Design and Construction, Fashion Accessories, Basic and Advanced Tailoring, High-Speed Sewing Machine Operation, Digitization in Garments Industry, Mass Production Technique and Management, and Project Development along with Garments Technology.
